Once a CAO has been made, it will be legally binding on both parents. This means that both parents must follow the terms of the Order.
If a parent fails to comply with the terms of the Order, they will be in breach of the Order and the other parent can apply to the Court for enforcement. The consequences of an enforcement application can vary, but can include imposing fines on the non-compliant parent or varying the Order.
